The Shropshire Chamber of Commerce have partnered with Reech Media and Shropshire Festivals to bring Shropshire BizFest back for a second year. The free festival turns conventional networking on its head by offering an informal, fun setting for Shropshire’s professionals to come together in a relaxed, festival atmosphere.

Last year’s networking event was attended by 200 people from the local business community. The popularity of the first BizFest has prompted organisers to hold this year’s event at a bigger venue, at Shrewsbury Town Football Club.

Rob Hughes, managing director at Reech, comments, “This year’s event will be bigger and better, and we are urging people to sign up today to secure their place. We are organising a host of interesting and informative seminars and workshops, which will be accompanied with great street food, delicious drinks, and live music. What better way to share ideas and make new connections, with a glass of wine under a tipi!”

As well as an opportunity to rub shoulders with Shropshire’s business elite, the event will feature trade stands, one to one meetings with business experts, topical seminars, hands-on business workshops and behind-the-scenes tours of Montgomery Waters Meadow. There will also be the chance to showcase businesses in “Exhibition Alley” at the venue.

Shropshire Festival’s founder, Beth Heath, said, “After many years running my events business, I truly appreciate the value of networking. The contacts you make locally can have a significant impact on the success of your business. I believe that by bringing together the businesses in our area we can help each other to grow and prosper, and keep Shropshire business thriving.”

A host of sponsors have already signed up to be part of the event, including Hencote sponsoring the bar and Shropshire Business magazine coming on as media partner.

Shropshire BizFest will be held on Thursday 12th September 2019 at The Reech Community Hub located at Shrewsbury Town Football Club. Visit shropshirebizfest.co.uk to secure your place at one of the biggest networking events in the county.
