The Shropshire Hamper Company have launched several new hampers for people looking to spread some joy in response to the tough start to 2021.
It is now possible to send a hug with a hamper that will “show someone just how much you care.” New hampers also include an option for a ‘Home School Teacher Hero’, which the makers describe as a hero who “should be rewarded for their hard work for generally keeping small humans alive and happy during a pretty miserable time.” There are also options to send some goodies to a ‘Shropshire Lass,’ ‘Shropshire Lad,’ and a ‘Shropshire Couple’ as part of the new range.
Founder of the Shropshire Hamper Company, Beth Heath, said, “I know many lads, lasses, couples and parents that deserve a big hug and some TLC right now, so whilst I can’t see them in person, I realised the next best thing was to spread a little bit of happiness with Shropshire’s amazing food and drink products – which gave me the idea to expand our hamper range.
“We were expecting orders to quieten down in the New Year, but we’re pleased to report that demand for our local hampers is still high, which is helping us to support our network of local food and drink producers.”
Shropshire Festivals launched the Shropshire Hamper Company last year as a way of diversifying following the first lockdown, and creating a new revenue for the small food and drinks businesses that normally exhibit at their festivals.
One of the first organisations to place an order with the hamper company was Marches Care, who wanted to thank their care home workers for all their hard work during the pandemic. Marches Care have just commissioned another 130 personalised self-care bags from the Shropshire Hamper Company for all of their staff at the Shrewsbury based nursing and dementia care home. The hampers contain products to encourage staff to look after their own wellbeing, including skincare products from The Blue Lemon in Shrewsbury and plants from Lakeside Plant Centre in Telford.
