There are limited places left at a brand-new event for Hawkstone Park Hotel. The hotel has collaborated with renowned artist Sam Morris to offer a unique 2-day painting experience. Budding artists will spend two days developing techniques and learning the skills to create their very own characters, whilst staying in the heart of the Shropshire countryside.
Sam Morris is a British artist who specialises in painting cows, from realistic and traditional portraits to fun and stylised paintings. She runs numerous workshops helping people with their painting techniques.
The ‘Cheeky Chicken Workshop’ will run on the 23rd and 24th January 2021 with accommodation, materials and equipment all included in the cost. Sam will demonstrate every stage of creating a painting from inspiration to finished project, with 1-2-1 sessions and group demonstrations throughout.
Sam Morris said, “I’m really excited to spend two days painting within Hawkstone Park’s stunning grounds and stylish hotel. I normally run workshops for one day, so artists will have much more time to really develop some fun and stylised characters.
“On the first day of the workshop we will start to gather inspiration, create characters, and practice techniques, moving on to personalisation and the finer details on the second day, finishing with a class exhibition.”
The cost of the painting experience, which includes materials, accommodation, dinner, bed and breakfast is £324 per person. The hotel has some rooms available where well behaved dogs can also be accommodated for a small additional charge.
Lauren Cartledge, Commercial Director at Hawkstone Park, said, “There are currently only 10 places left for the workshop in January, so don’t delay in booking your place – it would make a great Christmas gift for an art lover!”
