There’s lots happening at Blists Hill Victorian Town for a fun family day out during the Christmas school holidays between 22 December and 6 January. The museum will be open from 10am until 4pm only closing on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Start by exchanging your money in the Town’s bank for pre-decimal token coins to spend in the sweet shop, fried fish dealers or New Inn public house. Follow a family self-led Christmas trail or join the demonstrator’s guided walk around the Town every afternoon, best for adults and older children. Then meander around the period shops and cosy cottages, all decorated for Christmas, chat to the townsfolk and try candle dipping with rainbow colours in the Goods Shed. Between 26 and 30 December you can also watch mini-pantomime performances by the popular Hotbuckle and Limelight theatre groups.

One of the 10 Ironbridge Gorge Museums, admission into Blists Hill Victorian Town is £19.75 adults, £14 for 60 plus and £12 children 5-16, under 5s free.

Make the most of daytime visits to the museums with a great value Annual Passport Ticket, which allows multiple visits into all 10. It costs £26.50 per adult, £20.50 for seniors, £16.50 for children (16 years or under), £70 for a family of two adults and all their children and £50 for a family with one adult; under 5s free (terms and conditions apply). Passports can also be bought online in advance saving 5% and individual entry tickets are available at each museum. Activities will vary from day-to-day and some additional costs will apply.
