The Whitchurch Food & Drink Festival 2019 is to be held at the Whitchurch Civic Centre on the 18th and 19th May.

Shropshire’s premier events company is to play a major role in this year’s festival, organisers have revealed.

Shropshire Festivals – the team behind sell-out events such as Shrewsbury Food Festival and the Oktoberfest beer festival in Shrewsbury – is helping with the organisation and promotion of the event.

Shropshire Festivals boss Beth Heath said she was delighted to have been asked to get involved in helping take the Whitchurch event to new levels of success this year.

“The Whitchurch Food and Drink Festival is an absolutely fantastic community event, run by the town for the town, and is just the sort of event we love to get involved with.

“When we were asked by the organisers if we would like to get involved we didn’t hesitate.  We have lots of ideas which will help the festival build on the success it has to date and help it become an unmissable part of the foodie calendar.

“The festival already attracts a brilliant line-up of stallholders and exhibitors, and with our knowhow and contacts we will be able to complement this with even more top-class food producers.”

The free festival, which is centred on the town’s Civic Centre, will have over 80 stalls packed full of local food and drink produce.

It will also feature an outdoor food court area, street food vendors selling delicious treats and the Bakkavor Bread cookery kitchen demonstrations where local chefs will show off their skills.
