The Voskresenije (Resurrection) Choir of St Petersburg will sing sacred music by Rachmaninov, Frank, Bach-Gounod, Siridov andDinev, before the interval as well as modern and classic music after, including by Rimsky Korsakov and other Russian composers, and folk songs from Russia, Ukraine, and Great Britain.
St. Chad’s is delighted to welcome back again this outstanding choir, which has thrilled audiences all over the world. This will be their seventh visit to St Chad’s as part of their 2018 season in the UK. The ensemble, led by their conductor Jurij Maruk, who founded the ensemble in 1993, consists of nine professional vocalists and students, including one of the deepest basso profundo singers in the world.
