Calling all dragon egg hunting superstars! Ludlow Castle is holding an extra special event during the Easter break. It will be perfect for school holiday entertainment, and a great day out for the whole family. Until the 26th April, there will be The Great Easter Dragon Egg Hunt at the castle, and you are all invited!

A pesky dragon has visited the castle and laid some eggs. The castle needs some talented egg hunters to follow the trail and find all the eggs. Hunters will learn the key skills needed to be an expert dragon trainer – have you got what it takes? There will be a series of challenges to attempt, and a puzzle to solve before you discover Ludlow Castle’s very own dragon and collect your dragon trainer certificate.

The dragon egg hunt will be a fun way to explore the medieval ruins and stunning grounds, keeping youngsters enthralled and engaged.

Budding egg hunters will be supplied with an activity sheet and pencil for the mission. The trail will only cost £1.50 in addition to the cost of admission to the castle.

Ludlow Castle is one of the most historic sites in Shropshire, at the heart of the bustling black and white market town of Ludlow.  It was created as a Norman Fortress before becoming a Fortified Palace which was popular with royalty. At one point it was briefly home to Prince Arthur and Catherine of Aragon – later first wife of Henry the Eighth.

The castle is set to hold a series of events during 2019, including a spring festival in May.  For details on opening and closing times, admission prices and events at the castle, go to www.ludlowcastle.com for more information.
