Friday 14th June will see a programme of joyous music for a magical midsummer evening, performed by one of the UK’s finest choirs –Ex Cathedra – accompanied by the glow of candles at dusk in the splendid ambience of St. Chad’s Church, Shrewsbury.
Director of Shropshire Music Trust, Kate Hogwood said: “This atmospheric sequence of words and music is inspired by four centuries of seasonal music. A counterpart to their well-loved ‘Christmas Music by Candlelight’ – this concert will send you home singing of summertime. A packed house were enthralled by the choir’s second ‘Summer Music’ visit, which this year moves again to a larger venue. People can enjoy a pre-concert drink from 7.15pm, with the concert finishing at approximately 9.45pm without an interval”.
