For parents who want to give their kids a memorable and engaging Halloween day out, Hawkstone Park Follies has the answer with their Spooktacular event this half term. The family day out will deliver some spooky fun, without any nightmare-inducing terror.

The themed trail around the follies promises to get imaginations running as children follow a special Halloween trail around the 100 acres of parkland. This year’s trail will be themed around the Follies’ resident trolls who have lost the magical Hawkstone, so need the help of some young explorers to help save the day. There will be some spooky characters to meet along the way, as well as storytelling and a little splash of magic.

Acting Follies Park Manager, Howard Fox, said, “The Halloween event was a huge success last year. We got some great feedback from customers who enjoyed the live actors and stories. This event is perfect for children up to eleven years old, who can get in the spirit of Halloween without getting too spooked.

“The fun trail through the Grade I listed landscape of caves, tree lined walks, sandstone hills and towers, is the perfect way to get children enjoying some fresh autumn air and exercise in the great outdoors, whilst they revel in the magic of witches, wizards and stories, with some very cute trolls thrown in!”

Entry to the Halloween event is included with the standard admission price, and a special trail guide is available at the entrance. The event will run from the 26th October until early November.
