Pentabus has announced it is recruiting an Administrator and a new Head of Engagement, as Andrew Sterry departs after seven years in post.
The Head of Engagement will create and lead engagement projects that ensure the company’s artistic work is accessible and relevant, and ensure the continuation of the existing Young Company and educational outreach programme, fostering a robust and inclusive relationship with new writing and theatre. It is a three days a week position with an annual salary of £30k pro rata.
The Administrator will support the team on all aspects of operations in a touring theatre company. An ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills and be keen to learn about the business side of theatre. That role is also three days a week, with a £25k pro rata salary.
Applications for both roles close midday on Monday, June 17th, with interviews the week commencing July 1st in person in Ludlow, with an ideal start date of August/September 2024. Both roles will involve working at or close to Pentabus’ offices at Ludlow Assembly Rooms.
Successful candidates will join Pentabus during its 50th anniversary year. Pentabus began its 50th anniversary year by winning an Off West End Award for The Silence and the Noise and continued it with its recently announced flagship production Make Good, a new musical about the Horizon Post Office Scandal, with book by Jeanie O’Hare and music and lyrics by Jim Fortune, co-produced with New Perspectives. It has also moved to a new home at Ludlow Assembly Rooms, after 40 years at the Old School House in Bromfield.
