The first massage training school in Shropshire to offer a Level 4 diploma in Holistic Massage launches this month.

Jenny Hampton Massage has traded in Whitchurch for the last 4 years. Jenny launches the training arm of her business with an Introduction to Holistic Massage on 19/20 November.

The 10-month diploma course starts in February 2023. There is no other school within 85 miles teaching this Level 4 diploma in Holistic Massage – it’s a unique offering in Shropshire, Cheshire, north Wales and the northwest.

While the Level 4 training has a strong scientific element that includes anatomy and physiology study, at its core it’s about learning how to massage intuitively, with a focus on meditation.

Business owner and principal tutor Jenny says: “When I learnt massage what I loved was how much meditation and intuition were a part of the course. For me, massage is a moving meditation, a way to rest in stillness and relaxation, while offering wellbeing to another.

“It’s been a life-changing journey for me becoming a massage therapist and now tutor, and I can’t wait to share what I’ve learnt with others.”

The diploma is accredited by the Massage Training Institute (MTI), a professional association established in 1988, which accredits and represents holistic massage therapists. MTI Director Ros Cope says: “We at The Massage Training Institute are delighted to add a quality massage training school in Shropshire to our roster of colleges. It is with total confidence in Jenny that we look forward to welcoming her graduates to our membership, instilled with our values of sensitivity, creativity, and integrity.”

Jenny is a massage therapist and tutor with 12 years’ experience. She trained at the highly regarded Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork in 2010 and has been in private practise ever since.
