Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s new festive range of sought-after seasonal merchandise has now landed and is already ‘flying’ off the shelves.

Since launching its new festive range online late October, sales have already helped to make two air ambulance missions possible, as more than £6,000 has been raised thanks to shoppers buying seasonal items. Popular products include the novelty ‘lifesaver on a break’ socks, a limited-edition necklace, helicopter and critical care car plush toys, and a variety of Christmas cards.

The charity is also hoping to recruit ‘Little Lifesavers’ to join its pre-hospital emergency service as part of its Kids’ Crew. Now in its third year, the Kids’ Crew Membership is open to children aged between five and 11 years old. This year the pack includes a welcome letter, membership card, newsletter, a voucher to redeem a visit to one of the charity’s three operational airbases, an invitation to the annual Young Heroes’ Christmas Party, balloon, pencil, button badge and bookmark*.

Emma Wood, head of fundraising and engagement for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “The festive period is an exciting time for many, especially little ones, which is why we have created a range of affordable products that will help us raise vital funds for lifesaving missions.

“We have deliberately kept our prices for Christmas cards and other popular items in our range low so that they are affordable at what can be an expensive time of year. Our supporters can feel proud that each item they purchase directly helps fund missions in their local area and will help save lives this Christmas.”
