The Lexus W100 tennis tournament is taking place from Sunday, 13th until Sunday, 20th October 2024 at the Shrewsbury Club. It’s the biggest event in women’s tennis to be staged in the UK, outside of the grass court season.

DMOS People, a recruitment firm with its headquarters in Shrewsbury, has announced their sponsorship of the event, including the arena, players village, and ball crew.

“Don’t miss your chance to see some of the most exciting tennis players ranked inside the world’s top 100 play in Shrewsbury,” said Stuart Danks, Director at DMOS People. “You will get to see world class tennis in the DMOS People Arena, right here in Shrewsbury.”

Last year, 14-year-old British player Hannah Klugman came through qualifying and became the youngest player to do so at an event of this level, and back in 2022, Shrewsbury winner, Marketa Vondrousova, went on to become Wimbledon Ladies Singles Champion just nine months later.

Stuart adds, “Our backing means more spectators, around 650, will be able to enjoy the tennis from court-side seats in the DMOS People Arena. Plus, we are once again sponsoring the ball crew, which features pupils from local schools, as well as the hospitality village.”

Dave Courteen, The Shrewsbury Club’s managing director, said, “This event wouldn’t happen without the generous support of DMOS People along with over 30 other companies, many of them local to Shrewsbury. There are only 25 other towns/cities in the world hosting an event this big so a real coup for the region. The entry list is the strongest ever, 5 players ranked in top 100 in the world, British players including Heather Watson and we even have a player who a few weeks ago played Iga Swiatek for a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics – what a line up!

“It’s fantastic that DMOS People are on board for a second year. We are delighted the company will continue to be one of our main partners in bringing world-class tennis to Shrewsbury.”
