Summer of Hands-on Fun at Blists Hill
Celebrate Ironbridge’s industrial past with hands-on activities, trails and demonstrations at Blists Hill Victorian Town. Make a mini steam machine, draw with charcoal, make a brick and follow a trail around the historic streets and buildings to discover more about the Birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Activities vary day-to-day as part of the Ironbridge Gorge Museum’s ‘Create Industry’ themed workshops taking place across The Gorge during the school holidays.
Entrance fee including a voluntary Gift Aid donation is £19.75 adults; £14 for 60 plus and £12.00 for children (up to 16 years), under 5s free

Design and Make Industry at Enginuity
Museum opens 10am – 4pm daily
Join in workshops inspired by industry at Enginuity this summer, activities include building a cradle to send your cargo down a zip line, buggy building and printing your design on a bag. Part of the ‘Create Industry Workshops’ taking place across The Gorge during the school holidays. Afterwards play with the huge interactive exhibits at Enginuity.

Find your inner artist and follow in the footsteps of the Coalport painters and decorate ceramics with your own colourful designs; perhaps a money box or a fridge magnet. Activities are part of the Ironbridge Gorge Museum’s ‘Create Industry’ themed workshops taking place across The Gorge during the school holidays. Daily sessions from 11am – 1pm and 1.30pm – 3.30pm. Afterwards explore the museum’s many magnificent galleries. Continuing Ironbridge’s lates programme with the museum’s first ever comedy night. The entertaining line-up of high profile celebrity comedians includes Jonny Awsum, semi-finalist on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, and Time Out Comedian of the Year Paul Tonkinson, compared by Tony Meresse.
Take your seats at 7.45pm for 8pm departing by 10.15pm.

A talk by Peter King entitled The Introduction of Iron Smelting. Currently working on producing a gazetteer of the Iron Industry 1500 -1815, Peter has published widely on the choice of fuel in the 18th century iron industry.

Museum opens 10am – 4pm daily
Bring out your creative side at new ceramic workshops for adults and make something useful, decorative or quirky for someone’s birthday, anniversary or christening, or just for yourself. Items will take up to four weeks to dry, fire and glaze; collect from the museum or have your piece sent home (P&P charge). Afternoon sessions from 1pm until 4pm.
The workshop is £5 per person including museum entrance fee (plus small fee for glaze). Places must be prebooked by calling 01952 433 970.
