Maddie Ashbrook the owner of MOOand BOOM in Whitchurch has received the FSB award for Start-up Business of the year 2022 for the West Midlands, this prestigious award was presented at a ceremony at the Arden Forest Hotel in Coventry on Thursday 17th March.
Maddie had got down to the last six for that category and at no point did she think she would walk away with the Award and now go forward to the Nationals in May held in Glasgow, Scotland.
Excited was an understatement as she accepted the award and her speech expressed her passion for a cleaner planet, her thanks to her team, her mum and mostly her customers in Whitchurch and beyond who have supported her all year in the market town of Whitchurch,
“I couldn’t have got here without them embracing sustainable living and I am so proud of myself for taking the business this far, there is so much more to come, so watch this space, every one of us can help the planet, small steps but huge rewards and thats what MOOand BOOM is about, the well-being of people and where we live.”
Her mum Stella was at the awards, and she was beside herself with excitement at Maddie winning,
“She works incredibly hard, puts in long hours and is always championing a clean carbon footprint, working a business and being commercial alongside sustainable practice is challenging but all her efforts have been recognised and I couldn’t be prouder of her, the award is well deserved however unexpected, I am just thrilled she will be going the National Awards in May, even just for the experience as she is a very young entrepreneur, so fingers crossed !!”
