Early birds should sign up now for run with a colourful twist
A national military charity is giving members of the public in Shropshire the chance to run a 5 km course through an RAF station while being showered with powder paints.
The Royal Air Forces Association, which supports the RAF family, will be staging Colour Chaos at RAF Cosford to raise money for its vital work to improve the wellbeing of serving and former staff, including war veterans.
A limited number of early bird discounted places for the event, which will take place on Sunday 28 July, are available now and the charity is encouraging families in particular to sign up and raise funds.
Helen Tempest, Challenge Events Manager at the RAF Association, said: “We’d love to get as many people from the Shropshire community to visit their local RAF station and take part in this crazy, colourful event. All the money raised will go to projects supporting the mental and physical health of members of the RAF family.”
Colour Chaos costs £10 per person to enter, while children under five can enter for free. £35 early bird tickets are available for families of up to five people for a short time only. Participants can also visit the RAF Museum at Cosford, which is free to enter.
On the day, volunteers and serving personnel will cover the runners in powder paint as they attempt to complete the course. All runners will receive a free Colour Chaos t-shirt and a medal.
