Local entrepreneurs, freelancers, and remote workers are invited to connect this summer as the Shropshire Growth Hub hosts its popular Co-Work Hub: Connect, Create, Collaborate sessions. The initiative provides a vibrant, welcoming space designed to help Shropshire’s small business community work productively and thrive together.

Anna Sadler, Shropshire Growth Hub Officer commented, “We are absolutely thrilled with the success of the Co-Work Hub sessions so far. Working for yourself or running a small business can be an incredibly isolating experience, and our main goal was to create a space that breaks down those walls. Seeing local freelancers, remote workers, and founders come together under one roof to support each other, share advice, and collaborate has been fantastic. It proves just how vital a connected local business community is for Shropshire.”

Designed to combat the isolation often experienced by solopreneurs, the ongoing event series provides an open, pressure-free co-working environment where attendees can focus on their own projects while tapping into a supportive local business community. Rather than a rigid, formal networking event, the hub provides a relaxed space to organically exchange ideas, share operational challenges, and explore potential partnerships.

In addition to peer-to-peer collaboration, attendees benefit from the presence of an Expert in Residence, who are on hand to offer light-touch, practical guidance on crucial business development topics, including marketing strategy, social media, grant funding, and business planning. For those requiring deeper, tailored strategic guidance, the event offers attendees the opportunity to book exclusive 1:2:1 sessions with dedicated business advisors.

The initiative has earned strong praise from previous attendees who value the blend of practical expert access and community camaraderie.

Antony Taylor, XR Business Founder, Board Advisor, and Fractional Technology Strategy provider, commented on the value of the sessions, “Whether it’s speaking to the experts in residence about branding and business plans, or just bouncing ideas off like-minded owners who share the joys and pains of business, I always come away energised with new leads and collaborations.”

Alex Hall, representing Nutrition AI, also highlighted the strategic value of the forum. Hall noted that “the sessions offer fresh perspectives from experienced peers with the hub acting as an open, engaging space to build regional connections that would otherwise be difficult to reach.”

The all day Co-Work Hub features a bring-your-own-work structure including complimentary tea, coffee, and biscuits throughout. To maintain a high-quality, collaborative environment, spaces are strictly limited to small groups of up to 20 business owners per session, and pre-booking is essential.
