Just a couple of minutes walk from Pride Hill, in the heart of Shrewsbury’s vibrant shopping district, The Parade Shops proudly stands, encompassing a collection of hidden treasures.

The striking former hospital building was constructed almost 190 years ago in a ‘Greek Revival’ style. Today it holds an assortment of small, independent businesses and shops, providing an essential pitstop for visitors and locals alike.

The shopping centre’s quirk is simple – it’s a place where you can find unique and independent stores, with products and services not typically found on the high street. Proving that Shrewsbury’s retail sector is diverse and thriving, the Parade gives customers an experience that can’t be matched with online shopping or retail parks.

An exciting new addition to the Parade is Crystal’s Cupcakes. The cake shop has enjoyed a surge of support since opening its doors on the 21st September.

Crystal Owen, owner of Crystal’s Cupcakes, comments on her new shop, “We are thrilled with our new shop in Shrewsbury! We have been searching for the perfect place to introduce Crystal’s to the Shrewsbury area for some time. Many of our customers at our flagship shop in Dawley travel from far afield to buy our cakes, so we wanted to open up a new base to cover this part of the county. When we heard about the opportunity to take on a unit at The Parade Shops we jumped at the chance. We have a huge selection of cupcakes, tray-bakes, luxury ice cream and milkshakes on offer on a take-out basis. We hope the people of Shrewsbury will come by and try our treats!”

There is plenty to experience at the Parade. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the terrace of The River View Café overlooking the town, indulge in a beauty treatment, peruse fine fashion, be surprised with niche products, find crafts and creativity, and get lost in one the specialist stores for collectors.
