Art installation to be opened by the Mayor of Shrewsbury
Ceremony begins at 11am Saturday 4th March at St Chad’s Church

Svitlana Dzedzei fled from her native country and has now settled in Shropshire. She has co-ordinated an art installation composed of hundreds of hand-crocheted blue and yellow angels to highlight the impact of the war on the people of Ukraine, particularly Ukrainian children, hundreds of whom have been senselessly killed. This has travelled around Ukraine before arriving in Shropshire.

The Churchwardens and PCC of St Chads are delighted that St Chads will be hosting this installation, which will be suspended outdoors from the balustrades on the roof. We do hope that people will join us as we continue to pray for peace in Ukraine and stand in witness with its displaced people now living in Shropshire.
