Age UK North Shropshire Supporters raised £3000 at the recent Crowns and Coronets Ball that marked the Royal Wedding between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

Guests at the ball, held at the Tern Hill Hall Hotel, Market Drayton, made the most of the glorious weather whilst enjoying drinks in the beautiful grounds of the hotel. Following dinner, Mr Jeremy Lamond, a director of Halls, ran a successful auction, which included lunch for two and an afternoon of top class racing with Chairman, Rose Paterson, at Aintree Thursday 2019, polo lessons at Moor Farm, Baschurch, and a day’s sailing for 12 on Lyneal Trust’s Shropshire Lady.

Anne Wignall, Chair of Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin, said: “We would like to thank everyone who supported this fantastic event. Thank you to our sponsors, those who provided auction and raffle prizes, and to everyone who turned up on the night and made the evening so much fun!”
