The Castle Hotel in Bishop’s Castle has been named in a list of top ten best beer gardens in the Guardian.

The hotel celebrated its 300th birthday in June. It is one of the oldest continually operating hotels in the country, having served customers since 1719.

The 18th century coaching inn has twelve en-suite rooms, panoramic views of the Shropshire hills, an exquisite restaurant, and a fine selection of ales on offer in three bustling bars. It is also dog friendly. The hotel is recommended by The Good Hotel Guide, Alistair Sawdays and Best Loved Hotels.
